Hever Castle - taken by Pamela Seres during her trip to the UK in 2005
Hever Castle can trace its origins back to the 13th century when it consisted of just a gatehouse and walled bailey. In the 16th century, the castle was purchased by the Bullen family.
The castle became the childhood home of Anne Boleyn and later home to Anne of Cleves, Henry VIII’s fourth wife.
The castle changed hands many times down through the centuries with it most famous owner, William Waldorf Astor taking control of the castle in 1903.
